Company History
King’s Academy is the inspiration of HM King Abdullah II of Jordan. Reflecting on the role his own boarding school education at Deerfield Academy in New England played in developing his character, values and abilities, King Abdullah decided to bring the quality and ethos of that education to the region by founding a school modeled on Deerfield in Jordan.
King Abdullah envisioned King’s Academy as a boarding school that would set a new standard for secondary education in the Middle East, bringing together an unprecedented combination of hallmarks: academic excellence and progressive pedagogy, emphasis on community and personal values, and state-of-the-art facilities.
