ZRG Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with the University of South Carolina in their search for an Assistant Vice President for Advancement Services.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Assistant Vice President for Advancement Services will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for advancement services as an integrated enterprise system ensuring that data, technology, analytics, compliance, and prospect strategy operate cohesively to support fundraising success across the University of South Carolina. This role is responsible not only for overseeing core functions, but for aligning them in a way that enhances usability, strengthens partnership with fundraisers and campus stakeholders, and advances institutional priorities.
As a key member of the Development Leadership Team, the AVP will collaborate with university partners, divisional leaders, and external stakeholders to align advancement services with institutional priorities. The AVP will also serve as the primary liaison to the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) and the university's alumni data steward, leading change management efforts, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives to advance the university's philanthropic mission.

The University of South Carolina's advancement work is supported through multiple affiliated foundations, including the USC Educational Foundation, Development Foundation, Business Partnership Foundation, South Carolina Research Foundation, and the Alumni Association. These entities work in coordination with the Division of Development to manage, invest, and steward philanthropic resources in support of the university's mission.
A bachelor's degree and at least ten years of experience are required for this position. The University of South Carolina will consider candidates with a broad range of backgrounds. The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $210,000.
