Executive Director for Principal Gifts and University Initiatives
Bryant Group continues its partnership with the University of Texas at Arlington in the search for an accomplished and collaborative Executive Director for Principal Gifts and University Initiatives. This senior advancement leader will shape and elevate UTA's principal gifts strategy during its first comprehensive fundraising campaign, guiding the university's highest-level philanthropic relationships while advancing institution-wide initiatives that support transformational philanthropy.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Development & Chief Development Officer, the Executive Director will oversee a comprehensive principal gifts program and lead efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward the university's most significant donors and prospects. This leader will partner closely with the President, Provost, University Advancement leadership, deans and development directors to align donor interests with UTA's most ambitious priorities. The Executive Director will also lead, manage and mentor a team of fundraising professionals responsible for regional development and university initiatives, ensuring a strategic, collaborative and donor-centered approach to securing seven- and eight-figure gifts in support of campaign goals.
The ideal candidate brings a bachelor's degree and at least eight years of progressively responsible major and principal gift fundraising experience, preferably within a complex higher education environment. They will have a demonstrated record of securing transformational philanthropic investments and experience working closely with senior academic leaders and top-level donors. The successful candidate combines strategic thinking, intellectual curiosity and emotional intelligence with the ability to lead high-performing teams and thrive in a metrics-driven fundraising culture. Experience with comprehensive campaigns and an advanced degree are preferred.
